Look at this colorful, delicious package that arrived from Mamma Chia! And when I say delicious - wow - their flavors are dynamite! I'm literally eating the Mango Coconut Chia Squeeze Vitality Snack as I type this and it's so good! For those of you who aren't familiar with Mamma Chia, CEO Janie Hoffman began making delicious chia treats and beverages in her kitchen on a small farm in rural San Diego, CA. So let's begin with our review! First up - beverages!
So for beverages we chose to sample Coconut Mango, Raspberry Passion, Cranberry Lemonade, and from their Energy line the Grape Power. As you can see in the picture, Grape Power was the first to go as we took it on a long car ride and needed to keep up our energy!! And it did it's job. The flavor of the beverages are delicious - very pure flavor - not sugary and syrupy like you'll get from some other drinks. Coconut Mango was our ultimate flavor favorite! The only thing I must say with the beverages, is that the seed texture in the drink took a little while for me to get used to. If you like pulp in your orange juice you won't have an issue, but if you're a no pulp kind of person, then it may take you a bit to get used to it. I recommend putting these with ice in a blender and maybe adding a banana or some yogurt and you'll have a delicious smoothie!! Next up are the Chia Squeeze Vitality Snacks!
Again, flavor is off the charts in this line! Our favorites were Strawberry Banana and Mango Coconut. The chia seeds are whole, as they are in the drinks, but the texture didn't bother us a bit because in this form. These packs are wonderful to throw in your hiking bag, kids lunch packs, your purse, etc. They are shelf stable so you can enjoy at room temperature or put them in the refrigerator to enjoy them cold!
